The Tool Mill

Privacy

thetoolmill.com is a free set of browser calculators. This page explains what information the site handles, how advertising cookies work, and the choices you have.

Calculator inputs

Measurements you enter — board sizes, wire lengths, roof pitches, and so on — stay in your browser. The math runs on your own device; the numbers you type are not sent to a server and are not stored after you close the page. You do not need an account to use any tool.

Contacting us

If you email us at millsites.contact@gmail.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message so we can read and answer it. Your email address is used only to reply and is never published. Please do not send passwords, payment card numbers, or other sensitive information by email.

Cookies and advertising

The Tool Mill uses Google AdSense to show ads. Google and other third-party vendors use cookies (small files stored by your browser) and similar identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to thetoolmill.com and other websites, to limit how often you see an ad, and to measure ad performance.

Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You can read more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and in Google’s advertising technologies notice.

Opting out: you can turn off personalized advertising from Google in Google Ads Settings (My Ad Center). You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices, or, in Europe, at www.youronlinechoices.eu. If you opt out, you may still see ads, but they will not be personalized based on your browsing.

Where the law requires consent for advertising cookies (for example in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland), you may be asked to make a choice before personalized ads are shown. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the calculators work without cookies.

Server logs and hosting

Like most websites, the hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information when a page is requested — such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure, and diagnose errors. The Tool Mill does not use these logs to identify individual visitors.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to manufacturers, standards bodies, or other external resources. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.

Children’s privacy

thetoolmill.com is a general-audience site and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention and your choices

Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to answer them and handle any follow-up. You can ask us to delete a message you sent, or ask what information we hold about you, through the Contact page. We do not sell personal information.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change — for example, a new form or a different advertising partner — this page will be updated and the date below will change.

Questions
